Every time I try to insert an tag, either by pasting in the HTML from Dreamweaver, or inserting it directly using SharePoint's HTML editor, as soon as I hit the "check in" button, the tags on each side convert to plain tags. Has anyone else experienced this? My boss has been able to fix the files on his end, so it's just happening to me. This just started happening yesterday, and only on my Chinese and Japanese language sites, so I hope it's not going to continue.

This particular link doesn't happen to be a phone number does it? – Dave Wise Apr 9 '13 at 15:12
No, it's a URL to another page in the same intranet. – Brooklynette Apr 9 '13 at 15:14
I should note that the same <a href="[URL]"> tag is working fine in the other 8 language sites I maintain. – Brooklynette Apr 9 '13 at 15:16
I just had some success by duplicating the tag, then checking it in, then opening the HTML editor again, and moving the link text between the surviving tags. – Brooklynette Apr 9 '13 at 15:25
Can you include a sample of the link as it appears before the save and as it appears after it has been converted to a span? – Dave Wise Apr 9 '13 at 15:29
