I am completely stumped by this and cannot find anything on the web that may help.
I have created a number of workflows to drive a project management tool. I have tested the workflows a number of times and they were all working as intended, so I thought I had a working presentable solution. Out of the blue, my workflows have started acting quite randomly.
When a workflow is started, the column in the list or library does not show the worklow status. When I go into the workflows section of the item where the workflow is supposed to run, it shows that the workflow is running, but instead of the actions it is configured to perform, it has changed itself into a disposition approval workflow. I have not set any expiry settings on any of my lists or libraries and neither have I configured anything at the site level. This is not a functionality I am including in my solution and I haven't touched this part of the settings at all.
When I look at my workflows, the settings and configuration is exactly as it was in its last working instance. The actions it executes however, is something completely different, something that under normal circumstances has to be expressly set up before it can even function.
I am wondering whether this is an issue with SharePoint Web Services on the installation I am using. That's the only thing that makes sense to me.
What do you in the expert community think about this? Is it something that has happened to anyone before? I am pulling my hair out here. Ho hum.
