I have a problem in Sharepoint Foundation 2010. I created a calendar for resource allocation. Users have a permission to create events, edit their own events and view all events. They can´t delete them. I done this by creating new permission level and editing item permissions in list options.
It works fine except for recurring events. One user can edit one instance of recurring event of antoher user. He can´t edit time, but for example he can change allocated resources. I see this as a major problem for reservation app.
I also made a workflow to notify users and managers of changes. And in this case the owner of reccuring event is not notified when someone other changes instance of it.
I would really appreciate the solution which prevents other users for changing events. If this is not possible I would at least like original owners of reccuring events to be notified.
