MOSS 2007 search issue on Android Tab

I am experiencing weird issue with MOSS 2007 search. It is working fine on the PC, but on the Android phone (Android version 2.3.5, HTC Sense version 3.0) when i try to search i receive 404 page not found error and after narrowing down on the issue i found that this phone's browser is not constructing correct URL for search, i.e http://mydomain.com/sites/testsite/pages//sites/testsite/search/pages/results.aspx?k=test&s=This%20Site Above url is gettig formed ,which is incorrect. When i manually type the correct search url it is displaying search results. So what can be the issue? Any help would be appreciated.
