SharePoint Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SharePoint enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

On my SharePoint site, all of our Project Managers add their active projects to their own project calendars, and then those projects are copied (using SharePoint Designer workflow) to a Master Calendar. When all the items are copied over, they are all the color green. I know you can color appointments by the type of appointment, but I'm wondering if you can color code them according to the User/which PM's calendar it came from? Can you use a workflow to read metadata from the calendar event, such as adding a category for PM Name? Or can you do the color code in Outlook, then sync it back to SharePoint?

Thanks! Monique

"I know you can color appointments by the type of appointment" => maybe explain how you do it for appointments, and we'll be able to help you extend it to user ids. – Christophe Feb 25 at 18:54
