I have attached an SPD workflow to a calendar list. Upon creation of an item in the calendar is is supposed to create an item in a task list within the same site. Its a very simple custom workflow.
Create item in "Tasks" then Email "User".
However it continues to show "failed on start" when I try to start the workflow. After browsing the web I have tried a few things: Both manually and automatically starting the workflow. Clearing the Cache for the site. Ensuring the user who is being assigned a task has permission to access the site.
I have now simplified the workflow even further. Now it only has one step: "Set workflow status to complete". I was designed by our SharePoint admin log in, and I was logged in as this user when attempting to run it.
I saw online that some people have solved it by increasing the limit on number of workflow activities. But with such a simple workflow is it possible that this is my problem?
