I'm creating a new custom list in code and when complete, the list looks fine. When I look in the Metadata section, in Crawled Properties specifically, I see most (if not all of my columns) under the SharePoint category.
But they all have "Included in index" set as Yes. But in my list creation code, I set the following (and do an .Update() when I'm done):
- Indexed = false;
- NoCrawl = true;
I thought that would set the Included in index to No but it doesn't seem to affect anything. Even running my code again, after deleting the list, has no affect. I've done Full and Incremental crawls after all my changes and the fields still remain unaffected.
Is there another way to set the Included in index value when I'm creating the fields that get added to the list?
I only want a few of the fields to be included in the index; the majority of them I don't want indexed. I know I can go into each field and uncheck the Include values for this property in the search index but I don't want to have to do that for over 100 fields.
