I am in the middle of a SharePoint 2013 intranet project and spotted the "Recent" folder showing up in the left-navigation (Current Nav).

I can't seem to find anything on TechNet / MSDN which describes exactly what feature set this heading provides (and how it can be configured, or perhaps turned on/off?)
