Past Due row colour using content editor web part

Question

I would like to highlight 'past due' items once they go past the due date and highlight rows coming up to the due date, a bit like a traffic light system. I do not have sharepoint designer or highlighter functions at work. We are using Sharepoint server 2007. Please help.
