SharePoint 2010: Cache-Control for items

Question

When I´m looking into the InternetExplorer temp folder, I´m seeing a bunch of cached sharepoint items:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

It is possible to define the max age property for a item? There are lots of pictures with a expiration date what is now.
