I have done a few migrations in the past where the doc library has been less then 50MB so have been able to save it as a template & then after a few tweaks mentioned here http://sarpoint.wordpress.com/2011/07/06/migrate-a-list-from-sharepoint-2007-to-sharepoint-2010/ : , managed to restore it on SP2010 with full version history etc. But now I have a DocLibrary which is 150+MB and this trick of my fails. I have been trying a few tools but they are either expensive 1000$+ or fail to transfer between version 12 (WSS 3) to Version 14 (SP 2010). Any one out there has any suggestions for me please. I don't want to got he MOVE route as some blogs suggested. But its only this ONE doc .library for which i need a solution - so cant justify buying a product - but happy to code in c# if someone helps. Many Thanks, Sar.

Not worty to be considered an answer so I will leave it as a comment. While you wait for some more appropiate solution, have a look to the import/export framework. Maybe it -could- help (don't really know if it works crossversion, just thinking aloud here) – SPArchaeologist Jan 17 at 15:27
