I have a team site collection but now the client wants workflows associated with content editing on the main homepage. I can do this for the announcements etc, but I can't apply workflows to the content editor web part (or can I)?

What is a good way to deal with the change of requirements from the end user without me having to delete the site collection and re-create this as a publishing portal (if possible)?
