Just wondering if anyone has done this before or even whether it is possible.

We are trying to find a way to integrate our SharePoint 2010 search with our emails in outlook 2010 without uploading the emails to SharePoint, ah

Do you mean an Exchange mailbox? Not the same as a PST. There is a connector on codeplex: exchangebcs.codeplex.com – Robert Kaucher Nov 20 '12 at 1:34

I don't think from Outlook, but you can through Win7 technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff899315.aspx – David Lozzi Nov 20 '12 at 2:00
Do you mean having everyone's emails available for everyone to search? That seems like something that might violate privacy laws, and if not would probably piss off users (if it's automatically applied to all e-mails). – lgaud Nov 22 '12 at 21:45
