SP2010. Got a site, with a number of child subsites immediately under it. All sites have the Publishing feature enabled, so they have the "Navigation" option available in Site Settings.

The parent site has the Quick Launch customized to display specific pages, which I did by editing the Navigation Editing and Sorting.

What I want to do is to copy that exact customized Quick Launch from the parent site to the child sites. Inheritance helped to carry the basic settings over, but it does not copy over the cutomized Quick Launch from the parent.

Gut instinct tells me I should be able to somehow copy that customized Quick Launch to the child sites via PowerShell, but I got nothing more than just that, a gut feeling. I'm not stuck on a PowerShell solution, though; just something other than manually performing the customization.

Can this be done?
