In MOSS2007, I have a document library that contains a large amount of documents. Whenever a user opens the file as 'Read Only', then closes the document, the Modified column updates as if it were edited.
Is SharePoint supposed to do this? If there is a way, how can I prevent the Modified column from updating when a document is opened as read only?
