SharePoint Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SharePoint enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am setting up a server to which I will be deploying the site collection and WSP files that I've developed locally.

Prior to restoring the site collection, I'd like to ensure that my build versions are as close as possible.

It appears that on my local machine, I am getting SharePoint Foundation security updates pushed to me via Windows update and they are being installed automatically.

When I try to pull the same updates via Windows Update on the server -- they aren't in the list! I've resorted to manually installing SP1 and now have downloaded all of the other updates that were applied, but prior to installing them I figured I'd ask -- how can I get these security updates to show up in Windows Update? I tried installing "Microsoft Update" and that gave me a few more security updates after it scanned, but still no SharePoint related updates.

Here is what I'm currently running: currentPatches
