SharePoint Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SharePoint enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

When attempting to remove a custom content type I get the "cannot delete, part of an application feature..." error (expected). But I'm only wanting to delete it to deploy it again straight away - so it's not like anything that relies on the content type is going to 'break' once the CT's are restored a matter of seconds later. Is there some way (in powershell maybe) that I can ignore this error and delete the necessary content types?

NOTE: This is all in development, no live system relies on the lists/pages/documents at the moment.
