In SharePoint 2010, we are creating a subsite from a site template.

We have 2 custom content types based on the folder content type with some manage metadata columns added. Still, after creating a folder in a list in a subsite, only the name column is showed when editing the folder properties.

Can anyone give any advice on what we may be doing wrong?

Is the folder actually using the correct content type? Also, is the content type visible and available on the list? – SPArchaeologist Sep 25 '12 at 15:29
I've seen this once before but didn't get far troubleshooting it. With my timeline and the lack of information out there I just ended up writing a custom form and manually setting the field properties. Hopefully you get an answer! Good luck! – SpartanDonut Sep 25 '12 at 15:43
Are you creating a subsite from a saved web/site template? If so, are those content types defined/saved within a list in the template? – Dan Tshin Sep 25 '12 at 18:39
Yes, subsite created from saved site tamplate.contenttype saved within document library... – nitin Sep 26 '12 at 9:49
