SharePoint Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SharePoint enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

We are using SharePoint to create and manage corporate documents and to host a staff intranet. We are required to archive this material building on the existing corporate archive (now nearly 200 years old). We are using lists and libraries and publisher pages. We need to archive these documents and digital objects in a manner compatible with long term digital preservation standards. We are using the EPrints repository platform to manage and hold digital versions of archival records. We need to retain as much contextual and technical metadata as possible...

Does anyone have any experience in developing a long term archival solution for SharePoint hosted works? Should we be looking at an interface between SharePoint and EPrints using the record center? We are aware of SWORD solutions - has anyone used this?
