SharePoint Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SharePoint enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a report library in a SharePoint 2010 (SP1) site configured for both Windows and Forms Based Authentication. SQL Report Services 2008 R2 is configured on the same machine using SharePoint Integrated mode. When opening the SQL Report Builder from the report library, I continue to be prompted for credentials. It will never allow me to connect to the report server. The url I am using for the report server is the same url of the SharePoint site (i.e. http://dev.sharepoint.corp.local). After canceling unsuccessful login attempts, the error message says "Connection failed. Unable to connect to the server that is specified in the URL http://dev.sharepoing.corp.local...)

My Configuration Settings are as follows:

  • SharePoint
    • Enable anonymous access
    • Enable Windows Authentication
      • NTLM
    • Enable Forms Based Authentication (FBA) (with appropriate provider names
    • Report Services Integration
      • Trusted Account (used domain credentials)
  • Reporting Services
    • SharePoint integrated mode

First of all, is Report Builder and reporting services functional in a multi-authentication enabled SharePoint site? If so, what is the magic configuration needed to get it to work?
