What could cause a document library in a custom site collection feature to be unavailable through REST API

I can see the feature is activated and visible through the UI, however when calling up _vti_bin/listdata.svc the document library is not listed.

I have seen this a number of times now and have always had to resort to rebuild the entire server; obviously keen to avoid this.

	What do you mean by a feature not being listed listdata.svc lists lists not features? If it's a list that's not visible, can the user in which context the listdata.svc call is made see the list using the UI if not it could be permission related. – Per Jakobsen Aug 30 '12 at 17:45
	Hi Per, Thank you for that comment, it shows that i am a mere sysadmin with very limited Sharepoint experience.. I have amended the question to reflect that I didnt understand the setup completely. It appears that the library in question is fully accessible through the UI but not via the listdata.svc. – Menno Stassen Aug 31 '12 at 9:39
