We have a very strange problem with User Profile Service. We configure the properly by following this guide provided here http://www.harbar.net/articles/sp2010ups.aspx. The User Profile Service and the User Profile Sync. services start normally. But then when a syncronization connection is created the computer frezzes (the Windows, Keyboard) and nothing happens untill we do a restart.

We have SP1 with April 2012 CU installed on the dev. machine. Neighter the Event log or ULS have errors logged.

Please help! :)

What browser are you using? How large is your AD? I'm guessing if you let it sit long enough it'll come around. On smaller ADs (less than 1000 users) it can take a several annoying seconds to load the chooser. – David Lozzi Aug 13 '12 at 12:32
How long do you wait for the system to become available again before restarting? In very large Active Directories it may take quite a long time! I suggest trying to wait it out. – TempaC Aug 14 '12 at 7:16
