SharePoint Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SharePoint enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Our company is currently looking to upgrade our Office365 licenses from the basic Mail to the E2 tier for the sharepoint capabilities.

Context: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/all-plans.aspx

We are aware that upgrading from the P1 tier to one of the E tiers is not possible, but I have not come across any examples of moving from the basic mail plan to an E tier.

  • Is this possible?

  • Can we expect any problems, such as loss of mailbox contents/calendars?

Sorry, per the FAQ we can only accept questions about SharePoint. For Office 365 licencing you should ask your question using the Microsoft support site. – SPDoctor Aug 3 '12 at 14:36
Thanks, I was uncertain where to post this question. I like the StackExchange community, but it did not seem to fit in well with any of the categories. – S. Albano Aug 3 '12 at 18:50
No problem. Hope you get an answer elsewhere. – SPDoctor Aug 3 '12 at 18:51
