We need to migrate our wiki pages from Confluence to Sharepoint online. I am evaluating Metalogix "Migration Manager for sharepoint - blogs and wikis edition 5.0.1.4" trial version for this purpose. I am using trial account of confluence 4.2.8 for experiments.

I have successfully setup confluence and metalogix. But I am not able to establish a connection between metalogix and confluence.

I have followed the tutorial http://www.metalogix.com/help/Migration-Manager-for-SharePoint/Blog-and-Wiki-Edition/001_GettingStarted/007_Connecting2Confluence.htm for establishing the connection.

  1. I am not using any proxy
  2. Both the check boxes (default windows credentials and confluence credentials) are checked
  3. I am using confluence username and password for establishing connection
  4. Both confluence and Metalogix are installed on same machine having Windows 2008 Server R2 OS. So the URL for accessing confluence is "http://localhost:8090/"

Despite all the above steps, I get an Error "The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden"

Any one has any idea if I am missing something or doing something wrong to establish a connection with confluence? Please help.

Metalogix Migration Manager does not support migration from any version above 4.0. Migration is only supported for confluence version before v.4.0 (that have SOAP API version 1).

Below is the list of supported source systems

  1. MediaWiki - Versions 1.12 and later.
  2. Confluence - Any versions before v.4.0 that have SOAP API version 1.
  3. WordPress - Any versions that support XML-RPC API.
  4. Atom Feed - All.
  5. Telligent - Any version that supports MetaWeblog API.
  6. Other Blogs and Wikis - Any other blogs or Wikis that support MetaWeblog API.
  7. RSS Feeds - All.
