I am looking a for a step by step solution to validate SharePoint 2010 calendar event and check if the event already exists.

What would be the distinguishing factor? How could you guarantee they are the same event? What if they have the same times but a different title? Or the same title but different times? This is not as clear cut as you'd think it would be. You need to determine what constitutes a unique event. – rjcup3 Jul 23 '12 at 20:03
