External Content Type custom action with parameters not showing up in actions menu

So I looked around for solution and could not find anything. Here's the problem: I am using SharePoint 2010. I want to add a custom action to an external content type. If I add a custom action without any parameters, it shows up in the Actions menu. But when I add a parameter it disappears from the Actions menu. Is there any way to get my custom action with parameters shown in the Actions menu? Thanks.
