Just when I thought I was done with SharePoint errors that Google has no answers for, we're getting this one on a private MySite home page - the site does have publishing turned on.

Standard bland SharePoint error page, with the following:

"A privacy item error has occurred, please contact your administrator."

I haven't gone into the trace logs yet, but the lack of search results on this error worries me. Has anyone seen this before, and, god willing, know how to fix it?

I have spent a LOT of time working with User Profiles and MySites on 2007 and have never seen that error. Was the system working before? Has anything changed recently? – Mike Oryszak Jun 17 '10 at 20:26
Can you please post more information regarding this error, perhaps an excerpt from the ULS log which describes the errors in more detail. – Wictor Wilen MCA MCM MVP Jun 21 '10 at 17:54
