I've followed the steps as per this guide and unfortunately still cannot get the subnavigation to work? http://www.heathersolomon.com/blog/archive/2007/05/15/SharePoint-Tip--How-to-Activate-the-Drop-Down-Menu.aspx

The settings under 'Navigation' are just fine, and in Sharepoint Designer I changed 'MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels' under the 'TopNavigationMenu' but still no joy, it won't show any sub navigation.

Thanks

did you make sure master page is checked in? – Ashish Patel Feb 12 '12 at 22:57
Thank you, this is a really good shout! – Nick Feb 13 '12 at 9:07
Just checked this, it's checked in and still no joy unfortunately - I've changed every menu's 'MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels' level to 3, but only the side or 'Current' navigation has a drop down :( – Nick Feb 13 '12 at 20:17
