I have created a new column and would like it to show up in a single library, but when I create it the column shows up in all libraries. So my question is, how do I create columns that will only show up in certain libraries. Thank you!

What are you doing? Are you creating a site column and attaching it to a content type at the site collection root? This is rather vague. – Eric Alexander Aug 4 '14 at 18:16
I agree, it looks like you are creating a site column and attaching either to an item or page content type. – dotsa Aug 4 '14 at 18:24
